POSITION:  Network Engineer
Location : Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 12 months+

Must have Skill set : Firewall , VPN's , Switching , Routing ,LB

 

 Responsibilities:         

 Perform network operations and troubleshooting and implement new network projects.

 

 Specific duties include:

 Conducting short and long-term planning to meet network requirements;

Analyzing network activity and network problems to discover and prevent systematic errors;

Analyzing facilities bandwidth requirements and system interdependencies;

Assessing network performance to ensure that it meets the present and future needs of the business.

 

Knowledge & Experience

 Mandatory :

Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems

Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards,

Able to install, support, and troubleshoot server and network hardware components and peripherals.

Familiarity with Juniper, Palo Alto or Cisco networking hardware and software.

 

Desirable :

Working technical knowledge of load balancers, firewalls and IP Address management systems.

Able to install and support Linux.

Familiarity with wireless networks

 

Familiarity with basic security principles and implementations
