**URGENT**

Lead Java Architect

Location: Lincolnshire, IL

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Job Description:

• Experience in high level 3rd party vendor coordination with architectural guidance and oversight is critical to this role.
• 5 or more years' experience in software development and experience with software engineering processes – analysis, implementation, performance testing, and documentation.
• Experience in protocols and frameworks for Web Services including (HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, REST and JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of Apache Web Server, Tomcat, Java, and PHP.
• Strong understanding of MySQL and relational database concepts.
• Strong ability to partner with business leaders and deeply understand the business needs.  CBA operates very similarly to a start-up and having a strong business understanding is a plus.
• Strong working ability to identify architecturally significant requirements and their ramifications.
• Strong understanding of website hosting architectures on Linux, from server arrangements to web application architecture stacks.
• Ability to quickly develop proficiency in new technology areas.
• Ability to work out of our Lincolnshire, IL or Chicago, IL office.

Additional desired skills include:

• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (such as Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal).
• Experience with performance testing and issue resolution.
• Understanding of virtualized server infrastructure and other virtual platforms such as AWS.
• Bachelor's degree (with preferred concentrations Computer Science or Software Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum experience of at least 10 years with at least 6 years in designing complex technical solutions.
• Experienced managing reports in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work effectively in an onshore/offshore model.
• LifeRay experience is a plus.
