Role  : QA Engineer

 

Location:  Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 12 Months

 

Responsibilities: 

·          Work closely with Development (UI), Quality Engineering, Product Management and Technical Operations during the development, test, and launch stages of the software development and release cycle (Waterfall and Agile). 

·          Define test plans and test specifications for functional, unit, integration and performance testing, as well as the manual execution of test cases, and reporting product failures of Custom built J2EE/Oracle/Linux applications.

·          Develop test frameworks in Selenium for UI regression test automation.

·          Develop test frameworks in Java/Junit/TestNG/JAXWS for Webservices/API testing.

·          Create and execute complex database queries (SQL, Pl/SQL) to validate database (Oracle 10g RAC) performance and data integrity.

·          Follow project milestones; design, implement, document, and execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing).

Required Qualifications: 

·          Bachelors' degree with emphasis on Computer Science, Computer and Electrical Engineering majors.

·          8+ years software Development or Quality Engineering experience in an enterprise environment.

·          6+ years of *hands-on* Java, XML, SQL, Perl (optional) Coding experience.

·          5+ years of experience building Test automation frameworks, Tools, to support Front UI, Webserivces/API testing.

·          5+ Years of experience in Selenium Functional Test automation, Webservices/API Testing.

·          Strong experience in Agile SDLC.

·          Complex PL/SQL & SQL query design (Stored Procedures and Triggers); relational database testing (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, SQL Server).

·          Proficient in UNIX, preferably Linux/FreeBSD (Perl, Bourne, Shell Scripting).

·          Customer-focused, ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
