Re: President Obama won the Popular vote by 53%, yet Republicans say this was...

A Landslide???   Not hardly...   go to this site

http://uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/

You will find  of all the Presidential elections since 1920 (23), 17 had larger electoral college victories (1948, 1960, 1968, 1976. 2000,  and 2004 were the exceptions)...  Of those exceptions 4 elections had the winner with less than 50% of the vote (1948, 1960, 1968, and 2000)...   1976 and 2004 had the winner at 50%...   This landslide you speak of is the in the lower 25% of all the elections since 1920...

Now if you want to claim all winners are by landslides....

Once again facts matter...   And once again the facts presented are NOT facts...  Obama got 50% of the vote with a difference of 3%-4% or HALF of 2008...   Clearly it is NOT a mandate...  can anyone say and explain cognitive dissonance to the nutwing left?
