Position: Scrum Master with exp Big Data 

Location:  Sunnyvale, California 

Client: AT&T

Job Description: Seeking a Scrum Master to work within a Big data team in a Tier 1 Carrier. The consultant will serve as the primary person responsible for managing the scrum process and coordinating scrum teams in agile methodologies. We are looking for people who are driven by releasing high quality solutions and solving challenging problems with creative solutions.

Couple of items from Hiring manger:

• Possesses excellent communication skills (should be a friendly & communicative person). When team is moving fast in Agile, communication is the effective force, which holds the team together.
• Needs to be expert in estimation and planning. He/she knows how to create useful, reliable and practical plans for software development projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the scrum process and coordinate scrum teams in agile methodologies
• Ensure the correct use of scrum process while tracking and removing impediments
• Facilitate and schedule meetings including but not limited to: daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings
• Help teams or individuals to clarify goals and actions to achieve them, while shielding the team from outside distractions and interference
• Serve as a coach and mentor within the organization for agile methodologies
• Forecast the numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration
• Provide weekly status to higher management
• Build project plan that incorporates, scope, resources, and timelines

Required Qualifications

• 5 plus years Scrum Master experience in any well-known software environment
• 2 plus years managing geographically distributed teams
• 2 plus years working in start-up environment
• Expertise building agile dashboards in Jira
• Expertise in project management software like Microsoft Project and Merlin etc.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience working with large corporations a real plus
• Previous experience working with Android software development in an Agile environment a real plus

Education: Bachelor's Degree required

 

Note: We are through tier-1 vendor.
