Job Description:
The candidate shall have strong experience with IBM Rational ClearCase/Multisite from both the user and administrative perspective in heterogeneous development environment. This position requires working in a customer-centric support environment. This requires the candidate to be able to keep a flexible work schedule.
ClearCase administration in Linux and Windows environment; VOBs replication and synchronization via Multisite; Strong programming skills (Perl, Python);Experience with writing Makefiles;
Essential Skills:
• ClearCase administration in Linux and Windows environment
• Strong programming skills using Perl or Python are required.
• Prior experience with implementation of triggers and other scripts in the context of ClearCase environment is required.
• Experience with VOB replication and synchronization via Multisite is required.
• Experience with writing Makefiles is required.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Experience with overall build process automation is necessary.
• Experience with programming and debugging using C/C++/Java is necessary.
• Experience with essential system administration skills in context of ClearCase (automounter/file systems/UNIX permissions/Windows sids etc) is desired.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Serena TeamTrack is desirable.
• Experience with third party distributed build solutions such as Electric Accelerator is desirable.
Qualifications/Job Responsibilities:
• At least 7 years of experience in the area of Software Configuration Management and ClearCase administration. A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field is required.
• This configuration management engineer will be responsible for supporting existing ClearCase infrastructure and for extending it to new sites via multisite. The infrastructure relies on both Base ClearCase and UCM for development groups in the company.
