Location: New Jersey.

Duration: Full time

Only GC and US citizens

Job description

 

The candidate is a world class infrastructure engineer, do not necessarily need banking experience but must be highly motivated with a track record of success in a financial environment. The ideal candidates will have the following responsibilities

• Automate the manual tasks in Java/Shell/Perl
• Migration to Cloud technologies from Physical platform
• Actively monitor system performance and stability
• Respond to alerts, perform analysis and troubleshooting, escalate issues as necessary
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Assist system engineering and development teams as needed
• Participate in an on-call rotation for mission critical alerts

 

Preferred Work Experience:

• 5 years or longer in a financial organization supporting open-source infrastructure

 

The successful candidate is likely to have experience of most of the following:

• Experience with Java/Shell/Perl
• Working knowledge with Oracle/Sql Server.
• Solid understanding of UNIX and networking concepts
• Experience with Red Hat/ESX Server.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages, preferably: Bash, Perl.
• Experience with: Apache, Java (development experience of 2-3 years a big plus), Tomcat, Nagios, Wiley, Wire Shark, Opnet, Splunk.
• Performance tuning experience with J2EE apps.
• Dell and HP hardware or F5 load balancer experience a plus
• Experience in Cloud technologies would be added value.
