We have multiple contract openings with our Columbus, Ohio client for Technical Project Managers who will have primary responsibility for the delivery of their assigned projects. The following demonstrates the breadth of activities within that responsibility.
- 5 years Financial Services industry experience - MUST HAVE
- Direct the day to day activities of the project team
- Coordinate activities with project stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization
- Execute typical project management processes (project planning, risk and issue management, financial management, status reporting, project communication and coordination)
- Define and steer the project delivery process leveraging the Group Standard IT delivery processes known as ITPM
- Lead/steer the requirements gathering and functional design of the assigned project(s) in collaboration with the Solution Architect and/or Design Manager and delivery provider/team
- Lead/steer the technical design process of the assigned project(s) in collaboration with the Solution Architect and/or Build Manager and delivery provider/team
- Lead/steer the coding and unit testing for the assigned project(s) in collaboration with the Solution Architect and/or Build Manager and delivery provider/team
- Lead/steer the System and User Acceptance Testing for the assigned project(s) in collaboration with the Test Manager and other relevant stakeholders
- Ensure that the delivered solution is consistent with the agreed architecture, design and quality expectations of the client
- Deliver the project and effect the handoff from the project team to the maintenance and operations teams
Experience/Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead system implementation projects from inception to delivery
- Strong facilitation and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of industry standard software delivery approaches and methodologies. Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the following: object oriented principles, n-tier architecture, client/server development, relational databases, configuration management, and quality assurance.
- Well-versed in dealing with common IT technologies (eg Java, NET, C #, Web, databases, or SAP) and development environments and knowledge of common concepts, architectures and processes in the software environment.
- Familiarity with financial services lease and loan applications.
- Experience in a multi-location, international environment.
- 5-10 years IT Project Management
- 5-10 years Application Development (playing technical roles)
