Responsibilities:
• Design and document modules and components and how they will interface with each other.
• Write code technical specifications.
• Write code to specifications in timely fashion in an agile development environment.
• Perform unit testing.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Provide assessment of technical impact of enhancement requests.
• Address issues related to system stability, scalability, performance and security.
• Contribute to the development of design, coding, unit testing and build standards.
Skills and Competencies:
• Bachelor's Degree and Eight (8) years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering using structured programming and/or object-oriented development concepts.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
• Knowledge of the layers and components of web applications.
• Thorough understanding of version control, software configuration and release management practices.
• Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Expert skill level with Oracle Application Express framework and PL/SQL.
• Strong knowledge and experience of JavaScript, Ajax, CSS and JSON.
• Strong knowledge of differences with various browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.
• Experience with JQuery, JavaScript library.
• Strong Oracle Database Development experience including SQL, PL/SQL, Configuration, Performance Tuning etc.
• Effective initiative, verbal and written communication skills.
