JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a Power Builder Developer to join our team. This position will support client needs for maintaining multiple Power Builder applications, and will be the primary Developer tasked with keeping applications running efficiently. The Power Builder Developer will provide maintenance, bug fixes and development using Power Builder in a Microsoft environment and deployed on laptops (client/server).
We anticipate 3-5 releases per year. You will be working with an older version of Power Builder and solving respective issues, there are no plans for upgrading at this time, so you will need to apply your expert analysis and problem solving skills.
Qualifications:
• Designing and developing with Power Builder Older versions and Visual Basic as well as MS Access and SQL.
• Following SDLC and creating documentation, i.e. design document, system flow diagrams Troubleshooting at all levels: development, testing, production
• Working with Change Management Software
• Perform systems analysis, design and development. Prepare for QA (Unit testing).
• Possess and maintain knowledge of web-based technologies and architecture
• Designing and implement secure code for software applications
• Perform testing and maintain large software applications.
• Follow Software Configuration Management techniques and practices.
• Perform iterative code development.
• Perform troubleshooting and supporting production applications.
• Assist other developers with technical solutions.
• Evaluate, identify, and present alternatives for software
• Organize work/assignments into task breakdown and estimate time (level of effort) for technical tasks. Experience(required): 8+ years' experience with PowerBuilder, SQL, SDLC Job Type: Contract Required
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
