Job Description:

 

•             Apply upgrades and service packs to the software/applications and work through any technical issues that arise in the process.

•             Provide System administration and installation of the software products.

•             Analyze incident requests, diagnosis, and root cause determination for resolutions.

•             Effectively troubleshoot various latency, bottlenecks, and other performance-based problems.

•             Define and manage access to the applications and Citrix environments based on the defined processes.

•             Monitor existing environments for maximal availability and operational efficiency.

•             Manage team resource and balance workloads.

•             Adhere to appropriate IT policies, including obtaining appropriate approvals.

•             Share critical information with peers to ensure that documentation and processes are current and accurate.

•             Escalate potential project problems prior to project impact.

•             Work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with diverse individuals.

•             Use exemplary time-management skills; work within strict time-frames to meet or improve deadlines.

•            Process restricted data with sensitivity to ensure that confidential data remains private.

•             Maintain flexible working style; assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

•             Use excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.

Required:

•             Minimum of 5 years administration and advanced administration in the following areas; Citrix XenApp 5.X, XenApp 6.X, XenApp 6.5 FR1, FR2, FR3, XenDesktop 5.X to 7.X, Provisioning Server 6.X, Store Front 2.X, Web Interface 5.X, License Server 11.X, APPDNA 6.X to 7X;

•             Advanced knowledge relative to administration in;

o             Microsoft Server 2000, 2003, 2008, 2008R2

o             Microsoft Active Directory 2000, 2003, 2008R2

o             Microsoft Active Directory Group Policies and Organizational Units;

•             Proven success in large (30,000+ users) virtualization global architectures having multiple Active Directory Domains, XenApp Farms, XenDesktop Farms, PVS Farms, multiple zones, Citrix Policies;

•             Verifiable experience migrating and support applications from 32 bit to 64 bit and platform upgrades such as XenApp 5.x to XenApp 6.5;

•             Extensive application debugging experiencing utilizing Citrix tools, Microsoft System Internals Tools, Wireshark or other packet capturing tools, PVS logging;

•             Advanced knowledge regarding local High-Availability relative to servers, power, networking, and remote management capabilities;

•             Strong working knowledge of IT Management practices and ITIL, willingness to obtain ITIL Foundations certification ;

•             Advanced technical knowledge of enterprise IT architecture and management solutions, including virtualization hypervisors and desktop virtualization brokers, in particular Citrix, VMware ESX, vCenter, vCOPS, and Wyse Thin Client end points;

•             Advanced analytical/problem solving ability, critical decision making, intuitive, un-yielding focus as workload rises focus increases, multi-task becomes second nature often playing mediator or calming the storm by focusing everyone on a common goal required, mediator on calls if necessary, creative, independent thinking skills;
