This is what we are looking for in you:
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• 5+ years development experience with Java.
• 3+ years development experience with web services, SOAP/REST, JSON, JAXP, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with MQ and SOAP over HTTP.

• 5+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation.
• 5+ years experience working in both UNIX (AIX preferred) and Windows environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation.
• Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.
• Strong SQL skills - knowing how to write SQL that performs is desired.
• Exposure to Open Source technologies (Junit, XDoclet, Log4J, Apache-anything).
• Must have used at least these repos: SVN/Git Stash/Clearcase.

Hands on experience with Struts/Spring/Hibernate.
• IBM WebSphere, Eclipse or IBM RAD (Rational Application Developer).
• SOAP engine.
• Experience with XPath and general XML processing.
• MAF (Message Adapter Framework), MDBs, MBean etc.

 

 

 

As an Application Developer, you will:
• Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments.
• Utilize programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.
• Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
• Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
• Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
• Help prod support by documenting new features/changes.
