Job Description

Currently seeking to hire a Application Developer 4 for QUEST application. Acts as a member of an Agile team dedicated to the completion of the QUEST project. Providing development, design, and testing services within the team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• ​Plans, Coordinates, and conducts the development of highly complex computer applications to meet customer requirements.
• Translates design specifications into computer program instructions, prepares test data, and conduct tests.
• Independently formulates recommendations on highly complex technical problems, new concepts, methods, and procedures.
• Responsible for instructing, directing, and monitoring lower level developers, and is responsible for project progress and results. 
•  

 Education and Years of Experience:

• Bachelor degree preferred, Experience in lieu of degree will be considered 
• 9 years of experience in designing and writing computer software and documenting/analyzing user requirements.
• Experience with required programming languages like HTML 5, JavaScript and databases like Oracle.
• Experience with major relational database systems and development methodologies.
• Experience in module and unit testing of software.

 

​Required Skills/Certifications:  

• At least nine years experience writing computer software. 
• At least four years experience identifying and determining the feasibility of alternatives for software technology. 
• Experience with the task specified programming languages (e.g., JAVA, C++, C#, PowerBuilder, etc.).
• Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., UNIX, PERL, Javascript, etc.)
• Experience in unit testing and functional testing (specifying test cases, executing and documenting the results)
• Experience with at least one relational database (e.g., Sybase, Oracle, etc).
• Experience with at least one development methodology.
• Experience gathering requirements from users and supporting acceptance testing.
• Experience in system testing, including planning, executing, developing test data, and documenting the testing. 
• Experience producing program specifications.
• Experience as a technical team leader of other programmers and/or analysts.
