Job Description:  

Responsibilities:

·         Work closely with Data Scientist to

o   perform queries in both relational database and massive unstructured/structured streams of data in Microsoft big data environment (Cosmos)

o   analyze data, provide data insights for business stakeholders

·         Work closely with Platform team, data source providers to gain data knowledge and report/debug data quality issue

Skills & Qualifications:

·         BS with quantitative training

·         Hands-on experience in dealing with large-scale data sets

·         Deep knowledge in information retrieval, data mining, and large-scale distributed systems

·         Strong SQL and programming/debugging skills

·         Good business sense, some statistical knowledge: correlation, cohort analysis, basic regression concept, etc.

·         Experience with Microsoft internal Scope language is plus (function and reducer)

·         Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills;

·         Ability and willingness to work independently in a team to research solutions for challenging technical problems
