Job: Sr. IBM DataStage Architect/Administrator
Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: Contract to Hire
Position Summary and Principal Responsibilities:
This role will be in the Data Integration & Warehouse area. The Data Integration team maintains the firm's ETL tools and infrastructure. The Senior DataStage Administrator will be the point person for the firm's primary ETL tool. The person will define and architect the best practices of a DataStage infrastructure, coordinate operational design, develop support plans and provide support for applications.
•Developed good partnerships with business and application level organizations to advocate a common data management philosophy leaded to a non-duplicative data and application working model for transaction, operational, reporting and analytic use.
•Lead overall ETL processes and architecture, performed build, tested and deployed activities related to BI and data warehouse implementations
•Experiencing in supporting IBM products such as InfoSphere DataStage, Metadata Workbench, business Glossary.
•Architect, Installation, configuration, Setup and Administration of IBM InfoSphere suite of products.
•Used ETL Tool, to create jobs for extracting the data from different databases, flat files & Mainframe files.
•Extensively Implemented Error Handling Concepts, Testing, Debugging, Engineering skills and Performance tuning of targets, sources, transformation logics.
•Experience in integrating ETL with Sybase, Oracle, DB2, Greenplum, Hadoop database applications.
•Experience in Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of Data warehouses and Database business systems.
•Coding using Perl/Unix Shell Scripts.
•Experience in Informatica DataHub, Powercenter and Data Quality, Open Data integration tools such as Pentaho is a plus.
•Experience with BI and Analytic tools such as Reporting Tools (OLAP) Cognos is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
•Datastage V9.1
•Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating system.
•Experience developing automated solutions in a Distributed computing environment
•Good written and verbal skills
•The ability to multitask and work in a team environment is a must
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience providing admin support for IBM DataStage
Education, Training &/or Certification: Bachelor's Degree
