Any additional information: Focus on Historical reporting/trending and systems archiving Business Intelligence Must have SAP   Keys to this role: Sr. Level BA with in depth exp with ERP projects, specifically SAP Historical reporting/trending, and systems archiving BI projects BI/ Analytics with IBM products, specifically Cognos   Additional Requirements: Excellent Communication skills Bachelor's degree Light Project Management experience Able to slice and dice Dashboards and visualization in support of legacy source data Able to design and build analytical reports that will enable the business QA -Preparation of unit – test cases, QA test plans, and scripts Drill down analysis Experience with gathering/writing requirements Able to Modify BI objects   Job Description: Title:      IT Business Analyst, Cognos BI Analytical and Data Archive Strategy Function SUMMARY: This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, documenting and supporting business intelligence reports and analytics, and data archive strategy for several legacy sources including as part of an SAP implementation.​  This role requires an extensive knowledge in ERP systems, Business Intelligence reports and analytics, SQL query, unit-test, create and maintain project plans, as well as strong understanding of software development cycle, database backup, restore strategies, standards and best practices.​ DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Expert in leading legacy business users and SME's in developing and supporting robust business intelligence business requirements while effectively and proactively managing the business relationships Design and build business enabling analytical reports, drill-down analysis, drill-through, slice-and-dice, dashboards and visualization in support of legacy source data. Lead all legacy support data activities which includes the supervision of onsite consultants and offshore support consultants as needed Work with key business users to configure and modify BI objects to meet business requirements Create documentation suitable for internal systems control and end users which include functional and technical specifications, and training materials.​ Prepare unit-test cases, and QA test plans and scripts and perform unit and regression testing.​ Coordinate and drive end-user testing Assist management in planning future business systems improvements Interface with external consultants in support of business systems and applications Actively supports the client's commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.​ Create and maintain Microsoft Project plans Qualification Guidelines: 5+ years of experience leading, designing, implementing and ​supporting the ERP database application modules 3+ ​years of experience with leading Business Intelligence tools, Cognos, SAP BI, etc Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical teams, and various levels of management.​  This includes communicating system issues and business solutions in a clear and concise manner, along with ability to recognize your audience and tailor communications accordingly.​ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and priority tasks.​ Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with users and coworkers at all levels.​
