Description: The person hired for the position of Front End Developer within the Research  Development Team of the Motor Vehicle Systems and Services group will be primarily responsible for the design and development of the Web Front End for the next-generation Tolling product.

Must have 5+ years experience with Front End Frameworks.

Ideally with 2 years experience using Backbone

Must have 5+ years experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and JQuery.

 Experience with Bootstrap preferredMust have experience building RESTful applications, not just building Web pagesUI/UX experience preferredJ2EE experience preferredFull Stack experience preferredPreferred

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Systems Engineering• Experience developing unit tests and implementing test automation• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills• Strong analytical and logic skills• Must excel at working with peers within a team environment• Track record of meeting project timelines and produce a high quality product.• Track record of taking individual initiative and accountability for assignments.• Track record of adapting to changing priorities.• Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies.• Detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.• Commitment to continuing professional developmentCandidates must have 3 years experience with JSP. Candidates without this experience clearly visible on the resume will not be passed on for review.Working onsite only - no telecommuting. Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Plans, designs, develops, codes and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Responsibilities: Revises and refines systems as required. Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation. Involved in testing and ongoing support of business systems. Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation. Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications. Service may be taxable in some states. 3M holds Direct Pay Permits in the following states: AL, AR, IA, MN, NE, NC, SD, TX, WI and WV. Please do not bill sales tax in these states. 3M will be responsible for paying all sales tax due on taxable purchase orders. exemption in Cordova, Illinois and Tonawanda, New York..
