Location:: San Jose, CA

Duration:: Contract to hire/ C2H

Description::

·         Should be comfortable with dealing with performance issues in applications, networks, and databases.

·         Understands the tradeoffs and implications for performance and reliability of the process pool model versus the single multi-threaded application server.

·         Has hands on experience testing large complicated web applications and is proficient at quickly isolating the source of bottlenecks for performance and scalability

·         Must have hands on experience with load driving tools such as Loadrunner, SilkPerformer, Jmeter, Grinder, etc. Requires experience with Java performance profiling tools such as VisualVM, JProfiler, YourKit, etc. Ideally, will also be familiar with APM tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic, or Dynatrace. Must be able to work on a tight schedule, possess the flexibility to transition between projects as priorities change, help out with site issues, and work with teams following the agile methodology. Takes the initiative to keep up to date with performance engineering technologies and practices.
