Job Title : Python Developer

Location : NYC, NY

Duration : 6+ Months Contract

Interview Process : Candidates for this role *MUST* be able to come in for an in-person interview after an initial phone screen

 

Role/Responsibilities:

·         Work on front, middle or back office platforms for leading investment banks

·         Involvement in projects such as building new trade capture systems or real time, multithreaded risk portals

·         Develop a complete rewrite of the reporting suite and for introducing precognitive error checking and intelligent auto-correct for OATS

 

Skills Required:

·         Excellent C++ and/or python/scripting skills with 7+ years of experience

·         Excellent system design for a software oriented architecture

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Knowledge of programming with UNIX is essential

·         Full life cycle development experience

·         Buy-side/Sell-side order management system experience is highly desired

·         Experience with relational databases and multi-threaded programming, and knowledge of UNIX scripting languages is desired

·         Previous consulting/investment banking experience preferred

·         Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical people

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
