Position: QA Lead

Location- Torrance, CA

Duration:6+Months

 

Job Level Specific Duties

 1) who is pro-active,

 2) able to face the client effectively and understand their needs precisely in the shortest possible time,

 3) able to work and interact with third party vendors positively inspite of a possible conflict of interest

 4) regular skills in QA processes, tools, different types of testing , mainly UAT

 5) expertise in documentation, designing templates and standards, will be a plus.

 6)  Applies strong knowledge of QA principles, methodologies, and techniques to test and ensure the quality of the software.

 7) Takes the lead on difficult defect detection, problem solving and troubleshooting with complex software.

8) Detects problems where standard practice and / or software has failed to meet customer requirements.

9) Works with application development team and customer to ensure that all customer requirements / problems are met and resolved.

10) Addresses escalated technical defects identified by less experienced team members.

11) Provides support in areas such as feasibility studies and design review.

Typical Years of Experience
• Typically requires 5-6 years relevant experience.

 

Minimum Education and Certifications
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

 

Skills

·         Knowledgeable of Mainframe (DB2/IMS) and Distributed Testing Practice

·         Knowledgeable in Mainframe Test Data development

·         Work with Technology manager in developing Mainframe Testing Standards (Test Case management, Defect management, Test governance, etc..)

·         Ability to validate QA deliverables and provide feedback

·         Strong collaboration skills

·         Strong leadership and verbal/written communication skills

·         5+ years of QA Lead Experience

·         Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodology.

·         Strong proficiency with requirements gathering tools.

·         Strong knowledge of project management tools and concepts is preferred

 

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
• Ability to physically perform general office requirements.

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Significant travel including overnight domestic or international trips may be required.
