Job Description
Strong understanding of database structures and hands-on experience designing, building, configuring and supporting Hadoop.
Strong expertise in backend programming ; Specifically java, JS, Node.js ; Back end programming skills mandatory;
Experience using No-SQL databases (HBASE, Cassandra etc) on large Hadoop distribution systems such as: Hortonworks HDP, MapR M series, Cloudera, Pivotal Systems or on Amazon EMR Experience implementing and supporting Hadoop
Must Have:
o Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, Unix shell and map reduce
o At least 5 years of IT experience
o Minimum of 2 years of Hadoop experience.
o Hive / Tez , Hbase, PIG, HDFS , Sqoop, Flume, etc.
o BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
· Experience in system administration of CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, or other linux systems
· Knowledge of data management concepts
· Exposure to Storm, Kafka ans spark
· Experience in Greenplum, Netezza, Oracle Exadata, or Teradata
