Job Title: Senior Sybase SAP/CEP Developer with Java Knowledge Job Category: Information Technology Job Type: Contract 6 months+ Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States Description: Senior Sybase SAP/CEP Developer with Java Knowledge Senior Sybase SAP/CEP Developer with Java Knowledge Key Responsibilities: • His or her role will be to migrate the existing application from SAP-CEP to SAP-ESP, convert the existing java interfaces to correctly utilize the newly migrated SAP-ESP application. • Understand the existing real time inventory and position keeping system which is developed in Java-CEP. • Candidate will be responsible for successful deployment in production and getting sign-offs from the end users. • Guide and mentor other team members at different locations. • Prepares comprehensive design and technical specifications documentation, and ensures timely completion of assigned work Required Skills: • 5-8 years of experience in Sybase and related technologies • 4+ years of experience with Java/JEE • Must have hands on experience in event processing technologies • Should have worked on SAP CEP and SAP ESP technologies • Thorough knowledge of operating systems (UNIX/LINUX) is required • Should have in depth knowledge of event driven architecture • Must be experienced in Service oriented architecture implementation • Should have used combination of Java-CEP or Java-ESP • Should have strong understanding of Java, SOAP, XML and shell scripting • Ability to work in agile kind of environment • Strong client facing skills • Document Experience in securities lending\Risk and Margin calculation business is a value add ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED (What skills/experiences must this person have to even be considered?) • Experience in Sybase and related technologies • Knowledge of best practices surrounding SAP CEP and ESP • Ability to work with geographically disparate teams • Knowledge of SCRUM and Agile processes • Good written and oral communication skills NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED (Including team oriented, managerial skills, etc.) The following skills are desirable for this opportunity: • Knowledge of investment banking especially position keeping will be an added advantage
