Candidate will be lead Java web developer in the CMT Technology group, using his technical skills to design and implement applications and support their full project life cycle, from prototyping to production. This role requires significant technical expertise and mastery of key software development platforms. The candidate should also possess good analytical and strong communication skills.
Candidate should be specialized in Web UI development, minimum of 3 years of experience with Web UI development using java script frameworks.
Must have experience with Java Script libraries like RequireJS, Backbone, Underscore and JQuery etc.
Must have experience with Java application development using Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security, REST services, SOAP Web Services etc
Over all 6 -8 years experience in Java/J2EE Development
Key Job Functions & Duties:
• Experienced (more than 3) in WEB UI development using leading Java Script frameworks
• Experienced (more than 7 years) in leading teams and delivering complex projects with multiple interfaces and enterprise scale applications.
• Candidate will design, develop, and deliver full production applications based on requirements analysis and prototype applications.
• Initial projects will be most concerned with Web UI and integration. Hence, the candidate must understand the concepts of Web UI development, integration and Web Services.
• Candidate should be flexible enough to work on more than one project at the same time. Should have proven ability to deliver projects on time.
• 10+ years of experience.
Qualifications:
• You should have significant experience across a variety of IT projects or problem-areas demonstrating depth of knowledge and experience solving problems in IT.
o Includes special emphasis on experience with integration projects involving varying technologies, platforms, and software development processes.
• You should have a strong understanding of the Java/JEE platform, SOA and the ability to apply these tools to design, implement and support solutions based on requirements. Additional experience with database development and design a plus.
• Strong communication skills required, including the ability to:
o demonstrate technical leadership and mentorship to colleagues
o work with non-technical colleagues to understand and hone business requirements.
o effectively present design and implementation approaches to colleagues and management
• Relevant IT skills
o Strong working knowledge of Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, EJB, JMS, XML, XSL, Web Services, Design Patterns, Oracle, Messaging, RDBMS and XML.
o Strong expertise in Web UI Development using Java Script frameworks like jQuery, Backbone, Underscore, RequireJS etc.
o Experience with real-time interfaces, Web Services, messaging and SOA architecture is highly desirable
o Strong database understanding is required.
o Experience related to Gem Fire or TIBCO development is a plus, but not necessary.
o Prior experience with Black Rock, SWIFT or related vendor/3rd party software integration is a plus, but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in managing software development projects using a formal development methodology (Software Development Life Cycle) processes, change management discipline, and project management processes.
• Prior industry experience working in Secondary Mortgage, Fixed Income Valuation or Capital Markets environment is desirable. Excellent business knowledge in finance, trading and hedging activity is highly desirable.
