REQUIREMENT:
Role: QA Automation Engineer
Location: SFO, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
As a QA Automation Engineer you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing test automation at both UI and API level to ensure comprehensive validation and compliance with system specifications.
Job Description:
• Must have expertise in developing test scripts/framework using Selenium We Driver, Jmeter and/or soapUI.
• Proficient in automated API testing, grey box and black box testing.
• Strong knowledge of XML, SQL, Oracle, Perl and Shell scripting
• Strong experience in automation at the service, API and database levels
• Daily experience with the following tools/technologies highly desired: TestNG, Python, Java, HTML, XML, Linux, GIT and or Mercurial.
• Strong knowledge of source tools for build management & continuous integration like Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, SVN, etc.
• Co-ordinate execution of automated testing and analysis of automation testing results with off shore team and report daily status
• Experience testing web services, SOAP/REST, performance and scalability testing
• Experience in developing efficient and maintainable automation scripts using agile practices that works across multiple browsers and devices
• Experience working in a Linux / Unix environment
• Expert in setting up and maintaining automated test environment & build system
• Strong understanding of the integration between automated software tests and the build process
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
• Partner with the development team to understand the code specifications and functional requirements for medium sized projects
• Develop and implement test plans and test scripts as it relates to functional/technical specifications and end user expectations.
• Anticipate user problems and suggest appropriate changes to correct defects and to enhance system functionality and performance.
• Provide detailed descriptions of the anomalies and defects
• Responsible for the overall success of testing. Coordinate testing efforts with pre-release end users to ensure releases are error free
• Certify all new software/system products from beginning to end to ensure complete functionality without error
• Develop and enforce quality assurance standards and procedures
• Mentor less experienced QA Engineers
Required Skills:
• 4 year college degree and/or equivalent experience
• At least 4 years of relevant technical experience writing automated test scripts using Selenium Web Driver, Jmeter and/or soapUI.
• In depth knowledge of software quality assurance practices
• Solid testing experience with XML technologies
• Solid testing experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.
• Experience testing software in both Unix, Linux, and Windows systems
• Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with little/no supervision
• Strong knowledge of XML, SQL, Oracle, Perl and Shell scripting
• Solid knowledge of XML, testing web services (SOAP / REST) and performance testing
• Energetic and self-motivated with the ability to quickly embrace and understand new technologies
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
• Experience in Agile software testing techniques
• Experience working with offshore teams in different time zones
