.NET DEVELOPER (AUSTIN, TEXAS)
Location: Austin, Texas
Duration: One Year Contract
MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Experience in design and development of large scale Information products and services with following technologies: .Net, Microsoft SQL Server. Role will only be about 10-15% design. Strong exposure to object oriented design and development is necessary (C#). Capabilities with configuration of SQL Server and IIS a plus. Responsive UI projects experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities
•Responsible for the design, development, implementation of data based software applications. This includes working with technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and expectations.
•Design, develop, document and implement new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
•Develop testing and debugging routines and oversee execution.
•Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
•Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices and development methodologies.
•Coordinate design activities, testing frameworks, and other related items in addition to contributing core product code.
•Support and deliver on resulting initiatives from the Business Plan and Technology strategy leveraging re-use, eliminating duplicative components, architectural design, use of innovative products.
•Suggest and cultivate ideas on the extension of the current programs to new products and services.
Qualifications
•Minimum 8+ years of experience in design and development of large scale Information products and services with following technologies: .Net, Microsoft SQL Server.
•Strong exposure to object oriented design and development is necessary (C#)
•Experience with ASP.NET forms, object oriented C# libraries, and MVC highly desired.
•Capabilities with configuration of SQL Server and IIS a plus.
•Good understanding of database fundamentals, SQL Server and/or equivalent database experience is a plus
•Experience using Visual Studio 2008 for ASP.NET/C#
•Hands-on experience in developing and supporting business applications for large corporations with experience in both batch and online systems.
•Demonstrated experience in developing end-to-end architecture (including application, system and data architectures) for new products and services.
•Must be very proficient in latest application development technologies, tools, databases and methodologies.
•Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
•Strong analytical and debugging skills.
•Demonstrated ability to work in a complex organization to determine business and customer needs, providing the best solution to meet those needs.
•Ability to understand systems from all levels, from the "big picture" enterprise-level view to the low level technical view.
• Excellent process orientation and exhibited planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
•Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related technology discipline.
•Past experience in Visa and /or Commercial line of business is a plus.
