Agile Test Lead (must have experience implementing a Testing Center of Excellent TCOE)
Duration: 11+months
Location: Topeka, KS
Rate: MAX $45hr
The Senior Agile Testing Leader will be a key driver in the move to designing and implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) Test Center of Excellence (TCoE) program, and will also have a hands on role. This senior position will provide the vision and leadership to implement best testing industry standards and approaches throughout a distributed set of scrum teams. The Testing Leader will guide and mentor the team on the implementation of agile testing and provide innovative approaches towards winning over team members that have not yet embraced the need for a TCoE. This person is a professional tester that stays up to date on the latest test techniques and tools. This senior position requires someone who is proactive and passionate about ensuring the quality of software deliverables and can communicate what is required to achieve this effectively. In addition, it is expected that the Agile Testing Leader is able to conduct exploratory testing using analytical approaches to proactively identify areas for improvement throughout the system.
Primary Responsibilities:
Author and maintain test artifacts in support of the TCoE and agile testing
Work hands on with testing and train test staff on tools and methods
Work with agile tools (e.g. HP QC/ALM, Jira, VersionOne) to manage testing process and reporting
Lead agile scrum development teams as the agile test lead
Work with product owners, systems engineers and development teams on good testing practice
Communicate and drive adoption of the benefits of a TCoE to senior leadership
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of general testing experience
At least 5 years of experience in managing the testing function
At least 3 years of experience spear-heading testing in agile teams
At least 3 years leadership experience in implementing a TCoE
