Job Description:
The Lead EDI Developer will be responsible for design, code, configuration, test, and supporting documentation associated with the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions between the State Health Insurance Exchange and the external healthcare partners. The candidate will work closely with other project members including architects and business analysts to understand business needs, and will work with external organizational partner's technical personnel and develop EDI X.12 Healthcare transactions as well as additional EDI like data exchange transactions.
 
Responsibilities:
•             Managing a small group of developers
•             Partner with internal customers to understand requirements and translate those requirements into a technical solutions. This includes developing new capabilities as well as break fix
•             Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
•             Analyze and identify time-sensitive system problems that could have an impact on business operations
•             Work independently with other team members to develop solutions that meet the client's business needs
•             Adhere to development guidelines, coding standards, project objectives and schedule.
 
Required Skills:
•             Experience with Oracle SOA Suite a plus
•             Experience with Healthcare X.12 EDI 
•             5+ years' experience with EDI transactions
•             5+ years development experience with Java, JavaScript, Spring, JSP, & WebLogic, Oracle
•             5+ years' experience with J2EE application servers WebLogic, JBoss or WebSphere
•             Hands on experience with JEE application deployment technology. Thorough knowledge with JEE application platform configuration and performance optimization.
•             The ability to think independently and prioritize the development teams' work based on SLAs and project demands with changing priorities
•             Excellent oral and written communication skills
•             Aptitude for complex problem analysis/resolution
