Sr. IBM AIX Architect-L3

v  Installing, configuring and maintaining IBM AIX Servers

v  Installation and configuration of HA environment using HACMP or Veritas Cluster.

v  Configuration and administration of Logical volume manager / Veritas Voume Manager.

v  Patch and Package administration

v  Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to

v  Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration

v  Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA

v  Understanding of Multi-geo support environment

v  Adhering to SLAs

v  Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment

v  Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario

v  Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction

v  Suggests new technologies and design changes

v  Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members

v  Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support

v  Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level

v  ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to

v  Mentoring / Training Team Members

v  Handling tickets / requests

v  Perform root cause analysis

v  Troubleshooting technical issues

v  Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time

v  Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating

v  Assist / Plan / Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts

v  Perform H/W & performance tuning and maintenance

v  Day-to-Day reporting tasks

v  Printer Administration

v  Samba, DNS, NIM, LDAP, Sendmail

v  Monitoring Tools (like BMC Patrol, HP openview, IBM Tivoli)

v  Writing shell scripts to acomplish day to day system administration task

v  Configuring and supporting Domains, LPARs, DLPARs

v  Administer & configure various FS like JFS, VxFS, Pseudo FS

v  Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue

v  Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
