Looking for Systems Engineer

Dear Professionals,

Systems Engineer (3 Openings)

Location: Houston, TX (prefer locals)

Duration: Long term

 

Network & Communications:

·      Demonstrated knowledge of basic networking with Cisco routers and switches

·      Understands and can configure DNS and DHCP

·      Cisco CCENT or CCT routing and switching certification is ideal

·      Cisco CCNA routing and switching certification would be a definite plus

·      Configuration of Cisco UCC Telephony would be a definite plus

·      Experience with SolarWinds ORION is ideal

 

IT Security:

·      Experience with McAfee ePO for management of anti-virus, anti-malware, and anti-SPAM technologies

·      Experience with McAfee EEPC encryption is ideal

·      Experience with McAfee SIEM, IPS and MVA platforms would be a definite plus

·      Experience with Check Point and/or Fortinet security gateways would be a definite plus

 

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

·      Bachelor's degree; Computer Science or Information Systems preferred

·      MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) preferred

·      3-5 years relevant job experience

·      Good verbal and written communication skills

·      Basic project planning skills, including project scheduling, identification of required resources, and detailed checklists of project actions to enable setting and meeting reasonable deadlines

·      Good understanding of application and systems within assigned functional areas
