Technical/Functional Skills

  • Good Android Application Development exp. Native apps
  • Hands-on expertise with Smart OS Mobile Product (ruggedized computers, payment devices, POS, etc.) Experience)
  • strong knowledge of Android OS

product Software Architecture & Design

 

  • Should have knowledge on hardware's like servers, wireless networks, mobile devices/tablets/laptops

 

Must have:

•Strong interpersonal skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
•Proven ability to effectively communicate with top tier (Fortune 100) engineering teams and management teams
•Proven ability to adjust to changes in priorities and manage multiple threads effectively and in a timely manner
•Ability to travel within region and globally if needed (10 – 25%)
•Interest and history of continually developing skills and knowledge
•Examples of being a team player with ability to navigate organizational boundaries
•Strong leadership and influence skills
•Superior organizational and planning skills
•Respected technical contributor in areas of expertise

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and vision for specific customer projects
•Analyze internal and external solutions in the context of certain customers and be able to clearly articulate both high level overview and low level details
•Assist in creating 'preferred configurations' of both software and hardware components according to product management requirements
•Provide solution alternatives with identified benefits and consequences, including proposed value-add features
•Understand and keep current with company, industry, and technology trends
•Assist in collecting requirements and provide leadership through organizing and communicating requirements
•Clarify needs versus wants (must-have vs. nice-to-have)
•Create plans and execute according plan
•Conduct feature gap analysis of solution features against product or project roadmap
•Set and manage expectations of customer and internal teams
•Create documentation around best practices and common issues for system configuration and operation
•Assist with creation of test plans and assessment of solution readiness

 

Responsibilities/Expectations:

The position is a combination of hands-on engineering work and cross-organization/customer communication work to ensure success of complex solutions.  The engineer will work with other team members on planned and reactive tasks in delivering solutions where client Enterprise products are involved. The deliverables may include sample system configurations, test results, architecture diagrams, customer guidance, best practices, and white papers.  The Solutions Engineer team will be involved in all stages in solution lifecycle, from up-front planning through customer troubleshooting.

 

Generic Managerial Skills

·   Ability to independently learn entire product portfolio with deep understanding of multi-product solutions including strengths and shortcomings of various hardware components in the context of general and specific configurations

·   Ability to compare and contrast technical capabilities of given hardware with competitive products

·   Ability to rapidly debug issues with given Enterprise products

·   Ability to personally configure hardware components to work in specific environments

Ability to interact with hardware product groups to gain information or guidance, and provide constructive feedback based on customer or internal team experiences

 

Preferred:

·   Experience communicating in the role of teacher, coach, or instructor

·   Certifications, publications, or other 3rd party skill assessments

·   Experience in retail, field service, distribution or supply chain domains

 

Education

4-year bachelor of science degree
