DURATION:     5+  month contract (poss. Long term)

 

 

The BI SSIS Developer will support the development of the overall ETL layer of our enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives. This is a senior position requiring interaction with the entire BI development team including participation in design sessions, exchange of technique with other team members, coordination of development activities, documentation according to methodological standards, and capabilities to work in an intense, time constrained atmosphere.
• At least 5 years of experience creating and implementing ETL strategies for an enterprise sized data warehouse.
• At least 5 years experience of providing ownership, management, design, development and support to ETL strategies.
• Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2008 R2 (SQL Server 2012 preferred), SSIS ETL technology and technically excellent in all areas of SQL Server development including stored procedures, functions and triggers as well as clustering and T-SQL.
• Experience of designing strategies for ETL audit, load balance, exception handling and high data volumes.
• Proven expertise in Data Warehouse and Data Marts methodologies as well as extensive knowledge of OLTP/OLAP technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services cubes.
• Must have been exposed to full SDLC process - Ability to design, organize, and implement module, perform system testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system - Ability to research and trouble-shoot application problems. Participated in Agile development efforts a plus.
• Developed SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to transform data from various data sources to MS SQL 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012
• Creating interface stored procedures used in SSIS to load/transform data to the database.

Education:

  Required: Bachelors Degree - Computer Science
