Duration: 6+ Months Contract

 

SQL Server Database Administrator

 

Description:

 

Mandatory Requirements-The selected individual must have:

1) 8 or more years' experience as a Database Administrator;

2) 3 or more years' experience with SQL Server 2005 or 2008; and

3) Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and Visual Studio.

 

Specific Job Duties:

 

1) Administer multiple enterprise wide SQL Server 2008 production, development and staging database environments;

2) Optimizes enterprise wide database performance by analyzing and tuning stored procedures, creating indexes and views;

3) Creates and implements security models, including use of Active Directory;

4) Works with application developers in tuning databases to ensure high application performance, including database schema design;

5) Develops database store procedures, tables and views using Microsoft SQL and Visual Studio components;

6) Ensures developed databases and component's adhere to agency standards; and

7) Prepares and executes data conversion/integration plans using Stored procedures and SQL Server Integration services.
