Storage Engineer
Experience Level: Look for 10 years level…Pref. for local candidate of Washington DC…or from MD, VA and DE.
Storage Engineer will provide design, configuration and implementation in a complex dual location, multi-vendor multi-SAN fabric environment.
The Storage Area Networks engineer will be required to have strong knowledge in the area of:
EMC/Clariion and other disk products such as.
Dell Compellent and other disk products such as.
Switch products such as Brocade, and Cisco etc.
Brocade Network Advisor and other storage-related monitoring and management software.
Design and implementation of EMC/Clariion and Dell Compellent data replication technologies across data-centers.
Experience working with EMC SRDF, Recover Point, EMC Power Path, Compellent Instant Replay, Compellent Live Volume, Compellent Snapshot
Excellent technical skills experience with designing and managing large-scale and complex SAN/NAS storage arrays.
Storage, Zoning, LUN sizing, Storage Pools, RAID implementations, volume configuration and allocation activities.
Resolve storage system and SAN fabric performance issues.
Disaster recovery process and implementatio
Preference given to DC Residents and residents of the local metro area.
Background check required if selected.
Candidate Characteristics:
Must be able to communicate with team and management in a clear and concise manner.
Must be able work as a team and un-supervised.
Must be able to respond to outages at late hours.
