Position: Senior UI (Flex, Web) Developer with Banking exp

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: 6+ months

Locals or nearby face to face must

 

Senior software developer in support of Sales Data mart for a retail banking business.

Must be strong in UI experience in Flex/Web toolkits.

The developer will be required to build and maintain applications and scripts on both Unix and Windows.

The candidate needs to be a self starter capable of solving problems and developing technology projects from start to finish.

This includes business analysis, design, coding and testing.

Candidate will need to share ideas and discuss solutions with others, including off-site/off-shore team members.

As such, strong communication skills are also required.

Candidate should expect to work in UI development, as well as other languages and technologies

 

Skills Required  

5+ years of proven software development experience

4+ years of java

Strong Web UI development skills (HTML/Java-Script/CSS)

Fluency with SQL

Fundamental data structures and algorithms

Excellent communication and problem solving skills   

 

Skills Desired  

Flex

AngularJS

Sybase

General knowledge and proficiency in a UNIX environment

Banking or financial IT experience (with loan or mortgage systems) would be beneficial

Bachelor Degree in Computer science or similar
