Automation of the Temporary Disability Claim Submission and Maintenance process.

NJDOL is seeking a Strong C#/.Net programmer to work on their Temporary Disability Insurance application. The programmer should have experience working on front end UI design and backend developing connections to an Oracle 11G database. Good communication skills (verbal and comprehension) are important. Experience working on insurance type applications is a plus.

 

The programmer will be required to:

- Review and understand Use Cases and other functional artifacts

- Become familiar with frameworks, common modules, flows and standards being used on the project

- Work with the business and technical team leads to understand requirements

- Prepare design and/or specification documents

- Code and thoroughly test modules developed before integration with application

- Coordinate work efforts with other team members

- Prepare time estimates for project related tasks

- Prepare status reports for Project Manager

- Identify and track issues, risks, action items and their resolution

- Be knowledgeable of current industry standards for Web design and become versed in established LWD standards.

- Have knowledge of relational database and procedure languages, particularly Oracle 10g, PLSQL, knowledge of crystal reports, familiarity with Identity and access manager, strong communication skills, and good problem solving skills.

FA is the functional expert/business analyst for the Hippocrates Health Emergency Preparedness and Response web application and is responsible for gathering/documenting and translating user requirements from users to the technical team.

We are seeking only candidates that possess strong Business Analyst within Application Development environments abilities, but also where communication skills are considered to be outstanding.  Polish and ability to communicate clearly to non-technical members is essential and required.

 

An additional requirement for Formal OO Methodologies is being added to the original requirement.

 

Years of Relevant Experience as a Business Analyst: 5 plus years

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree

 

·         Role Description:

·         Ensure that overall application designs remain within project scope.

·         Work with customer business units to understand their business processes.

·         Work with customer business units and clients to identify direction of software.

·         Ensure business requirements are supported by the software.

·         Liaison between customer business units and the technical team.

·         Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Analyze, define, and document how the applications will support functional and business requirements. Coordinate these efforts with technical team/product specialists/programmers.

·         Understand supporting/interfacing system applications.

·         Understand prioritizing work based on business needs requests, software releases for work affecting the application.

·         Manage the accomplishment of delivery metrics, Service Level Agreements and other contractual obligations within areas of responsibility.

·         Sponsor coordination of the required skills, training, methodologies, and processes to ensure the success of the team/project/program goals.

·         Coordinate and conduct project review meetings with Group Team Lead..

·         Monitor and measure maintenance and development process effectiveness.

·         Communicate clearly the program/application goals, operational and organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures to the technical team.

·         Communicate to team members their relationships between their work and assignments and the organizational and/or program objectives.

·         Must submit writing sample during interview.
