POSITION PURPOSE:
This role is for the SAP Projects, Consulting, and Implementation (PCI) team. This team is responsible for SAP related projects from initiation to implementation. The PCI team will ensure the smooth transition of new projects and/or customers into the operational mode.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate should have very strong technical SAP skills. The candidate should have experience with SAP HANA appliance, preferably with implementation for the HANA appliance. This candidate may be asked to lead work streams within a large implementation project Responsible to implement new SAP systems, and upgrade existing systems Support customer project team, and consult on project related problems Support operational escalations, and consult with operational teams Providing support for SAP systems on UNIX/Linux platforms Must work with teams that sit in offsite locations
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer–oriented support and coordination services in daily business Optimization of the service elements and achieving the target cost level Recommendation for portfolio consolidation and standardization, definition of KPIs Cooperation/interaction of the operational planning and forecasting with SDM Technical communication to customer in daily business (customer's native language) In office time available for customers ad hoc requests and questions Proactive customer development and technical consulting (first responder) Technical support to create additional business Regular, predictable attendance Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong level of experience in the installation and configuration of SAP systems (required)
Experience working with SAP HANA. (required)
Experience working on an SAP upgrade project (required)
Experience working on an SAP implementation project (preferred)
Experience with SAP ECC, BW, EP, SRM, and Solution Manager
Experience with Business Objects a strong plus
Experience coordinating the integration and configuration of SAP systems
Ability to provide technical SAP Basis support for projects Liaise with multiple groups including OS departments, Helpdesk, Network, etc
Provide technical advice and guidance to all customers in the effective use of systems, products and services available to them
Provide 3rd line support to the central support team for customer specific or site-specific details
Strong coordination, time management and planning skills
Steady character, able to work under pressure in a dynamic, technical complex environment
Have excellent team working abilities; able to work in a large global organization as a team member, sharing knowledge for the benefit of the team, the service, and the Enterprise
Good technical knowledge of the IT infrastructure, especially where it relates to SAP landscapes and its interfaces
Advanced troubleshooting and problem analysis experience In excess of 5 years IT working experience, preferably in a service/technology management environment.
EDUCATION:
College graduate or equivalent experience
