Skills Required and Job Description:

Here is a list of the primary responsibilities:   Required skills:    Data Modeling (tools like Power Designer or Erwin or any other data modeling tool)                                 STRONG SQL experience (several hundred lines of SQL), optimize queries, deal with tera bytes of data                                 DB2                                 Mainframe experience is optional but not required.   We also require:   •                     Experience (4-7 years) with data modeling tools and managing multiple logical and physical data models •                     Experience in fostering a high-performance environment within and across teams •                     Strong analytical skills. •                     Experience in eliciting data requirements from business users •                     Expertise in tools used for data management and data warehousing •                     Experience of programming languages (SQL) relative to Data Base Management Systems •                     Understanding of database design •                     Understanding of application development, database, and infrastructure capabilities and constraints   A strong candidate will also have: •                     Previous experience in programming/software development. (4-7 years) •                     Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience   Document and map interaction (source-to-target, source-to-ETL mapping) between business processes, information, and data for projects which are of medium to high complexity and moderate to high risk Develop, implement, and support methodologies, standards, and tools for data management such as metadata management, data mining, data modeling, data cleansing, transformation and matching, data stewardship, data quality, data integration, data security, and data marts Provide input to the design of application systems and interfaces to ensure data access, integration, integrity, and security for projects which are of medium to high complexity and moderate to high in risk
