Interview mode: Skype/Webex Deployment Engineer: - Successful candidate will be a Deployment Engineer with experience working with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools and understand how a Centralized Build and Deploy team functions with Release Management and Software Delivery and Support. The Deployment Engineers will utilize tools including: Open Make/ Meister, Ant, Perl, Maven, and Hudson to create automated scripts that will be used to deploy application code through the various tiers from Dev to Prod.
- Our Centralized Build and Deployment team builds standardized automation for deployment of vendor and customized Java Business applications in a complex highly integrated environment. Successful candidates will be able to work with Release Management to coordinate deployment schedules. Deployment Engineers are expected to work closely with and build relationships with the Development teams whose application they support in the Deployment process. Deployment Engineers are responsible for troubleshooting/work with the application and infrastructure teams to resolve any build and deployment issues
- The Deployment Engineers must understand all aspects of the Deployment process to provide the necessary support to the teams. The Deployment will be expected to create Continuous Integration Scripts, Convert Code Repositories from CVS to Git, Support Git, create and utilized Deployment Standards, Create and Support Build Once Deploy Many strategies, Support Development teams with questions any deployment related questions and the usage of Git.
- The focus needs to be on actual practitioners of build and deploy. We really need professional Deployment Engineers who understand the varied aspects of the work. Please have the vendors focus on the information in the requisition.
- Candidates need to be able to describe their skill set and experience. We do not someone with the potential to learn - we need experience.
Our Environment: - Development teams use Vendor Packages (e.g. GuideWire, nexJ, Informatica) and custom develop apps using Java and deployed to JBoss servers. - Deployment Engineers utilize these Build and SCM tools: CA Harvest, Hudson, ANT, Open Make/ Meister, and Perl. - Deployment Engineers work with these versioning tools: CVS, Git Required Skills: - (Deployment Engineer Prioritized Required Experience and Documented Skills)
