Re: New Breast Cancer Restrictions - For Annie

Tom, I am a teacher but not a nurse. I feel the loss of legalized abortions will be a detriment, in that young girls who are pregnant and have no support from family will go back to the back alley abortionists who really shouldn't be used by anyone. I just don't want to go back to a time when beautiful young women bleed to death in sorority house bathtubs.  

The next issue is the problem of keeping or putting up for adoption. This decision is one of the hardest. There is no easy way out.

Babies born of very young girls...say 15 and under tend to be very small and have difficulty breathing, What benefit to society is that? You and I both know that these children will become a burden on society. 

My last reason is that I don't see abortion as an issue that belongs in the public arena at all. Some things are personal and should be kept private. abortion is a question for the woman, the father of the child, her doctor and whoever else she chooses to involve.  No one else.

Romney/Ryan want to eliminate the ACA , which affects women's health, along with other benefits to all.  Sorry, you being a male, just does not understand the effects this will have on all, especially women.
Rep. Paul Ryan has a long anti-choice record from his years in Congress.
  • During his time in the House, Rep. Ryan has cast 59 votes on abortion and other reproductive-rights issues.1 All of these votes were anti-choice.
  • He cosponsored "personhood" legislation that is so extreme that, if passed, it would ban abortion care in almost all cases, including rape or incest.2
·  He cosponsored a measure that would force a woman to undergo an ultrasound before she can receive abortion care, even if her doctor doesn't recommend it and even if it is against the woman's will.3
·  He has repeatedly voted to deny funding to Planned Parenthood.4
Rep. Ryan has been outspoken on his anti-choice views:
Rep. Ryan voted for, and cosponsored, H.R.358, the "Let Women Die" bill. This bill would allow hospitals to refuse to provide emergency abortion care even when it's necessary to save a woman's life.

Romney's Running Mate Supports Extreme Ultrasound Bill

Rep. Paul Ryan backed a bill that would force a woman to get a medically unnecessary ultrasound before she can access abortion care - even if she doesn't want one and even if her doctor doesn't recommend it.
