The company develops products that improve the lives of patients with neurological disorders such as epilepsy or treatment resistant depression. PRIMARY ACTIVITIES • Apply software engineering knowledge to the verification and validation of new products as well as product changes or enhancements. • System architecture design, coding, conduct software/firmware verification testing. • Develop requirements based test cases, generate test scripts,  develop and execute verification test protocols and reports. • Provide software engineering support in the resolution of product complaints and/or safety issues. • Work with other engineering, manufacturing, clinical affairs, sales and marketing, and quality assurance staff to verify/validate new or existing products. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS • BSEE/BSCE, MS desired. Biomedical Engineering degree will be considered. • 3+ years experience in the field of product software and embedded firmware development preferably in the development of medical devices or other highly regulated devices • Experience developing firmware for a variety of microprocessors in C/C++ and assembly languages. • Demonstrated capabilities to develop and verify reliable, high quality, and efficient firmware for low power products. • Experience developing software under formal software development procedures. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Presentation skills.
