According to Mr. Krugman the reason we are not in a GREAT depression
is because of the social nets we already have in place. Thats what ive
been saying for the past year. And also because we bailed out the
banks.


He also says that Ron Pauls idea of getting rid of the FEDS and going
back to the gold standard is a sham. (I wish VT was here so he could
comment on that) We need to stay with paper money and not go
backwards.



I believe those in charge WANT a total collapse, they have to know
whats going on, so why arent they fixing it?
