Re: HP getting ready to layoff 25,000 workers.

My biggest problem with installing a new OS from scratch is all the
work you have to go to in order to get the motherboard drivers and
then all the time involved with installing all the updates and
reinstalling software and transferring the old data files over.

If a computer bypasses the OS CD and boots on the hard drive, the most
common solution is to change the boot sequence in the BIOS. I do
remember, though, about 5 years ago that I had to load up a half-
dozen, Microsoft boot floppies on a couple of computers before they
would boot on the OS CD. I can't remember what the reason was, or if I
ever even knew the reason.
