Position: QA Tester / Mobile Tester
Location: Reno, NV
Duration: 6-12+ months
Rate: $40/hour C2C
Job Description
· Develop , execute and maintain both manual and automated test scenarios, test plans and scripts for web based services in a Cloud Computing environment
· Assist with establishing automation test strategies, planning and procedures
· Proactively come up with innovative methods to constantly improve quality, test coverage, efficiency and regression coverage by automation of feature testing in ETE Integrated environments
- Collaborate with development team, product managers, and operations to create high quality test solutions to ensure complete test coverage
· Experience working in an agile environment with stories, sprints (working within a 2 week window to complete tasks)
· Detect software quality issues, report and track them to resolution in a bug tracking tool
· Participate in the testing of Production Emergency Bug Fixes
· Track and report test results for the product's compliance to the functional specifications
· Must have a background in testing distributed applications in a multi-server environment
Skills Required
Quality Assurance:
o At least 3 years development or quality assurance experience
o Experience automating test cases using tools such as MS Lab Management, MS Visual Studio, Coded UI, Selenium or other Automated Testing Tools is highly desired
o Experience working with Bug Tracking Tools, such as : Bugzilla, JIRA, TFS, HP QC, Serena Team Track
o Experience working in an Agile/ SCRUM development environment
- Knowledge of REST-based web services API
- Knowledge of testing web based applications in a Cloud based environment
- Enable rapid defect identification and resolution
- Create test plans and test cases from user stories
- Set up test data scenarios against virtual data centers and VMware
- Some experience testing cable networks and Live Streaming TV , remotely or directly on a set top box
Platform / Framework:
o Basic understanding of Service-oriented application development in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment
o Knowledge of Software-as–a-Service(SaaS) platform
o Use of HTML5, Webservices and API's in RESTful or SOAPUI
o Knowledge and experience of Linux Systems, Cloud Computing Infrastructure
o Minimum of 3 years Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 or 4.0 background , using C# or Java
o Knowledge of the deployment models used in cloud to deliver solutions for testing
o Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure, multi-VM environments, application pools, web technologies (REST, Grails) and web site applications, windows and basic authentication
Other Skills:
o Excellent Interpersonal and relationship skills necessary to work with an integrated team of customers, developers, implementation specialists and quality engineers
o Ability to work in a self-directed and independent fashion as well as within an integrated cross platform group setting
