Answer: The General Public
Question: Whose interest does the judgement serve?
Answer: Afew communication service providers but certainly not the General Public.
Question: What are the communication service providers trying to hide?
Answer: I really do not know. I can only sniff skeletons in their cupboards
Question: Have the Communication Service Providers ever fought for the General Populace?
Answer: Why should they do that? Their only goal is profiteering. The promotions they conduct just serve to squeeze the rural masses of their hard earned silver and gold.
Question: Does the mere fact of banning CIRMS prevent anyone from eavesdropping into your telephonic conversations or text messages?
Answer: No. Our telephonic conversations and text messages are eavesdropped at will and they shall always be eavespdropped.
In my strong view the CIRMS is a very important component of ICT. They use it in RSA. They use such machines in USA. They use it in most of the advanced world. I know MACRA is just a regulator of ICT. It is not a Secret Intellegence Service Agent of Government. It would be wrong to conclude that MACRA shall now start performing the role of SIS. Olo Mutandithira Dumu mukamwa, I shall still hold onto my views.

Re: NYC - Morming after pills (Levonorgestrel) for 14 year olds - Consent as...

I kind of agree with Pred here.
Sometimes people don't realize that they, too, will grow old and that they  need to prepare for themselves when that happens.
It's not fair to expect people who have planned ahead, invested and saved to be expected to divvy up their stuff for those who didn't  plan ahead for their retirement.
Fair is fair.

Annie, I hate to be the one to break this news to you, but Medicare Part D does NOT cover ED drugs such as Viagra, Cialis, Levitra or Muse.  Perhaps if your husband or whomever you're referring to gets them free, they are friendly with their Urologist, who will give them free samples.  Sometimes the GP has them, too. That's how I get mine.

I got kinda tired of reading your echo chamber about free Viagra from Medicare.  I knew it wasn't true, and I just got my Part D Formulary yesterday, so I looked it up and Voila!  Not listed. Then I went to the AARP United Healthcare website to verify and there it is below if you care to read it.  The clincher is in the first paragraph.

Now please work on some new material.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Using the new Plus Drug Discounts program is easy.
To receive your discount at the pharmacy counter, show your existing AARP MedicareRx Enhanced plan (PDP) member ID card at a participating network pharmacy when you purchase a prescription. You will be charged the discounted rate for your prescription. It's that simple!
*This program provides discounts off the full retail price of prescription drugs not normally covered by Medicare Part D. Program prices are subject to change and may vary by network pharmacy.
The Plus Drug Discounts program is a prescription drug discount program, not a plan benefit. The drug costs and savings received through this program will not appear on your monthly Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statement. The drug costs for these prescriptions do not affect your progress up to or through the coverage gap.

Re: The Brokest Nation - We're the brokest nation since before the advent of the Big Bang.

Well, we don't have a Toyota plant here. But we do have some fearful traffic jams. These projects date back to 1980 or so. Then in 1999,   TDOT got a tax levy for road improvement and they started 5 major projects at once, each of them stopped several years later for lack of funds. The next thing that happened is the number of highway fatalities linked to these construction jobs was about one per day per site. Not pretty. In fact the public got downright irate with our previous governor, Phil Bredesen. He got funds from Obama and these porjects were in gact shovel ready.

Subject: The Brokest Nation - We're the brokest nation since before the advent of the Big Bang.

The Brokest Nation - We're the brokest nation since before the advent of the Big Bang. By Jon N. Hall americanthinker.com Remember how alarmed we were toward the end of 2008, when we realized that Congress for the first time in history was going to run a deficit of a trillion dollars? Congress had never run a deficit even half that size, and some speculated that the deficit for fiscal 2009 could even approach $2T. Luckily, our first trillion-dollar deficit came in at only $1.4T. But now that the feds have run four back-to-back deficits of more than $1T, Americans seem to have become inured -- a trillion bucks? no big deal; we'll just "print" it. During the Democratic National Convention, America hit another milestone on her express train to economic ruin -- the total national debt passed the $16T mark. There was little talk about debt and deficits during the Democrats' convention. At $16T, the national debt is larger than the gross domestic product. But the "official" national debt, that $16T, is not the figure that folks should worry about. What folks should be concerned about is the debt held by the public, which on September 20 was more than $11.253T. The debt held by the public was $6.3T on the day Pres. Obama took office. So in exactly 3 years and 8 months, the real debt went up by nearly $5T, a growth rate of more than 10 percent each year, while GDP is plodding along at an annualized rate of 1.3 percent. In May of 2010, I reported that the EU thinks a nation faces danger when its public debt exceeds 60 percent of its GDP. At the time, Greece's public debt was 113 percent of its GDP, and America's was 52 percent. If we round America's current GDP up to an even $16T, our public debt is now 70+ percent of our GDP. That article of two years back reported that the Congressional Budget Office predicted that public debt could hit 100 percent of GDP by 2020. But at the rate we're going, that milestone could be passed rather earlier. All it would take is a flat, no-growth economy and continued borrowing of a trillion a year. If those preconditions are met, America's publicly held debt will be 100 percent of her GDP in 2017. Throw in a recession, and it could be earlier. But America doesn't need to wait for some magical debt-to-GDP ratio to be triggered before our Euro-styled debt crisis rears its ugly head. The Wall Street Journal reports: "Did you know that, during the last fiscal year, around three-quarters of the deficit was financed by the Federal Reserve? Foreign governments accounted for most of the rest, as American citizens' and institutions' purchases and sales netted to about zero." The bond market is sending a clear message to a deaf America. Lupine, and red in tooth and claw, the specter of debt is standing on our front stoop and about to bang on our door. But unlike the PIIGS (the Eurozone debtor nations in trouble), America doesn't have a Germany to bail her out. On November 6, America has one last chance to avoid the porcine fate of the PIIGS. In his 60 Minutes interview on September 23 (transcript), Pres. Obama uttered the word "trillion" only once: "And we've already cut a trillion dollars of spending. And I've told them I'm prepared to do additional spending cuts and do some entitlement reform." "Additional spending cuts"? They haven't "cut a trillion dollars of spending." According to Table 1.1 at the White House's own website, total federal outlays in fiscal 2007 (the last Republican budget) were $2.728T, and more than $1T less than what they're estimated to be in 2012 -- $3.795T. Perhaps Mr. Obama was referring to sequestration: the "automatic" across-the-board spending cuts scheduled to hit January 1, 2013. Sequestration is a feature of the Budget Control Act of 2011, the debt ceiling deal. It's irresponsible legislation, and there's a host of reasons to hope the Act is overridden, but the point is this: the trillion dollars in spending cuts is spread out over a decade. And more to the point, the Act is no more binding than any of the other mechanisms, like Gramm-Rudman, that Congress has routinely ignored. So far, the Pelosi-Reid-Obama axis hasn't cut squat. What's sobering is that when a faction in Congress tries to use raising the debt ceiling to get a tiny amount of deficit reduction, the corrupt media reacts as though such an action is unthinkable. The insanity of the media's message is that America has no choice but to go another trillion into debt. Not only that, but we can't cut anything out of the budget; spending must continue apace. Indeed, spending must increase, which includes paying for the oral contraceptives of promiscuous 30-year-old students in elite law schools. The media also lied about the possibility of default; the feds had more than enough money coming in to pay interest on the debt. (Besides, can't Ben Bernanke just "print" us up some more money?) With a lazy, corrupt media, America may never be able to fix the debt. (If you're concerned about the debt, go to Fix the Debt.) We're broke, folks. We're the brokest nation since before the advent of the Big Bang. We're so broke that there soon may not even be enough money to pay for the electricity needed to power the keyboard Bernanke types on when he "prints" money. Jon N. Hall is a programmer/analyst from Kansas City. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Debate Political Forum IMHO" group. Except for the small problem that corporations don't pay excess taxes; their customers do.  Any economist who is worth his / her salt (and I'm not one) knows this.

And the word "especially" does not fit in your paragraph. You do not pick and choose.

Re: NYC - Morming after pills (Levonorgestrel) for 14 year olds - Consent as...

I was amazed at how bad the spider bite was..nothing happebed for the first 24 hours, and then he woke up the next morning all swollen and bright red (even his ears.) (I know I had to laugh too but only after I locked myself in the bathroom and stuffed a towel in my mouth.) He finally got to a doctor who knew what was up, having been bitten as a youngster, and he gave hom a decadron 5 pack and that helped. He also had cellulitis and an allergic reaction, but now all he has is one sore arm. It is black in the center and the lesh around it looks like blue marble, as the fat is eaten away. The healing is going slowly, as it must to avoid kidney and liver damage. He's enjoyed incredible health most of his life and is not good at being sick. Paint him grumpy.

I don't think we have red wasps. We have Japanese hornets...they are about the size of a thumb and have delightful personalities. We used to have a dog that loved to chase them, She had long hair so didn't get stung very often. But when she did she acted like a real baby. We could never convince her to leave the darn thing alone. We also have yellow jackets...bad tempered and the nest is in the ground so it's ewasy to get swarmed mowing the lawn or bush hogging. The wasps we have a brown and have a striped tail. We used to kill them by waiting until after dark, putting the nest inside a paper bag and then quickly pulling it down and throwing in into a fire. It seems cruel now but as kids we thought it was great, along with frog gigging.

I hope your family likes Germany = it's really clean and the food is wonderful. Especially now when spargle is in season. There is also a fabu dessert - rosa gra-something..baked berries. and do good. L

I'll get the epipen renewed next summer when the wasps come back.  It won't be long before it gets cool enough that they'll go to wherever they go in the wintertime.  Meanwhile I'll just be careful and keep plenty of benadryl close by.  It worked last time.

I like the Bengal Wasp and Hornet Killer because it will shoot a stream about 20 feet and kills instantly.  I'm sure hairspray works fine, but you have to get too close to the nest and red wasps always have a guard stationed a couple of feet from the nest watching for danger.  The guard was the one that popped me and I was sitting in a chair 6 or 8 feet from the nest.  You have to locate and kill the guard first.

I don't do life insurance.  Everything I own is paid for and the kids don't need it.  Speaking of kids, my daughter and her husband are leaving Thursday for their annual anniversary vacation.  Going to Germany this time.  Their last name is Berka and there is a little town within a train ride of their destination that they are going to visit, named (I think) Gagberka.  Son in law thinks that's where his family originated.  They aren't going to do any research there, but they would like to get a set of beer mugs or something with the name on them.

My weapon of choice for yellow jackets and wasps is hairspray. Clogs the littlew buggers up so they can[t breathe. .
Better get that epipen renewed. We'd hate to lose you over a bee bite...now over a democrat victory - That's something different. (only kidding.) L         Ya better make sure your life ins is paid up  LOL

I have an epipen now, though I don't know how to use it.  On my 70th birthday party a red wasp popped me real hard on my face out on the patio.  I had never been overly allergic to stings before except for swelling at the site of the sting, so I was majorly pissed because this was right under my left eye.  Somebody mentioned the penny trick, where you tape a penny on the sting site and it will take away the pain and no swelling will occur. So I taped a penny to my cheek. BTW, the penny trick works like a charm.  About that time I felt like I couldn't get a breath and I remember saying "you know, I feel kinda weird". Then I went out like a light.  Luckily my daughter and some other people were here because I had apparently gone into anaphylactic shock. My daughter called 911 and some of the others poured Benadryl down me until the medics got here about 5 or 6 minutes later.  By that time I was revived and was working on getting my bearings back.  The medics checked me out, said I was okay now and left after I told them I was not going to the hospital with them.

Needless to say I am very watchful now when I  go outside. The red wasps seem to be everywhere this year.  I've used about a dozen cans of wasp spray so far killing their nests and their swarms (I had never seen wasps swarm before, but they're doing it here this year).

In case anyone is wondering, Bengal Wasp and Hornet Spray is the best.

The thing that concerns me about my epipen is that is was quite expensive and it's expiration date was pretty short - like one year I think.  So it's now about 4 months past its expiration.  Most likely next time I'm stung I'll be here alone.

Edwin P. Wilson, gunrunner and manager of CIA front companies, died on September 10th, aged 84

Sep 29th 2012 | from the print editionThe Economist

NOTHING about Edwin P. Wilson was quite as it appeared. If you met him at an airport—en route to Geneva, London, New York, on joking terms with the Concorde stewardesses—he looked like any other globetrotting businessman. In fact, he was a spy. The companies on the card he flashed from his pocket, Consultants International, or World Marine, Inc., or any of five dozen others, sounded plausible. They were all CIA fronts. He was tall, loud, assertive, and a fund of great stories told over late-night Scotch—how he'd spent an evening clubbing with Somoza, how he'd killed Che Guevara. The real stories, though, he didn't tell.

His chief business in the 1970s was shipping arms to Libya, then under Western sanctions. He didn't advertise it. But then again, he claimed later, it wasn't what it seemed. He sold Muammar Qaddafi firearms, some of which were used to murder Libyan dissidents at home and abroad. But that was done to "buddy up" to him, to try to use him like an asset. He offered him plans for making a nuclear bomb, but only to find out how Libya's own bomb-making was going. The plans were bogus anyway. He recruited ex-Green Berets to train Qaddafi's intelligence officers, and to teach them to make bombs disguised as bedside lamps and radios. He earned $1m a year from that, but also learned the officers' identities. It was all done with CIA backing. These were patriotic acts.

Most spectacularly—and disastrously for his cover—in 1977 he shipped to Libya 20 tons of C4 plastic explosives. This was almost the whole of America's stockpile, flown out of Houston in a DC-8 charter in barrels marked "oil-drilling mud". Mr Wilson felt no qualms about it. He didn't believe it had been used for terrorism. He had sent it to ingratiate himself and to get intelligence. The CIA, he said, knew all about it. But the CIA denied it.

His connections with the Company had begun in 1955 on the plane home from fighting in Korea, when he was given a name and a number to call by a man who then disappeared. He worked actively for the CIA for 15 years, destabilising European labour unions by using anything—Corsican mobsters, plagues of cockroaches—and setting up his front companies. The work was "a hell of a satisfaction" to him. He left, officially, in 1971, but only for Task Force 157 of the Office of Naval Intelligence, another super-secret outfit. Then, in 1976, he went "freelance". The CIA contacts, and all the front companies, continued—sending arms to Angola and boats to the Congo, bringing intelligence back—right up to the moment when he stood in a federal court, in 1983, accused among other things of shipping the explosives and sending the guns to Libya without a licence.

The third-highest CIA officer in the land declared then, in a sworn affidavit, that since 1971 the agency had had nothing to do with him. Not directly; not indirectly. Contacts zero. For good measure, Mr Wilson was found guilty of offering $50,000 per head for the murders of the federal prosecutor, six witnesses and his wife (from whom he wanted his gold ring back, preferably still on her finger). Some jailhouse snitch, wearing a wire, claimed to have taped him. He was sentenced to 52 years in jail, most of it in solitary: thoroughly, royally screwed, as he put it, by "snotty law-school graduates…with too much power and too few scruples."

The CIA's story was that he had gone rogue. Deniability was part of the deal, of course. But it was sheer success that made him, in the end, "a little hot". His front companies were also legitimate businesses, and they made real profits—all the more because his books were hardly audited. Asked once to itemise the cost of a trawler stuffed with surveillance gear, sold to the agency for $500,000, he quoted $250,000 for "product" and $250,000 for "service". Fine and dandy. Kinglike, and worth $23m, he rollicked over a 2,500-acre estate at Mount Airy in Virginia, lavishing jewels on his girlfriends, entertaining congressmen and generals to picnics and hunting parties. Not bad for a poor farm boy from Idaho. There were "very, very nice" villas, with Pakistani houseboys, in Malta and in Tripoli, where he was forced to lie low for a while in 1980-82, getting too drunk on the disgusting local hooch, before agents cannier than himself tricked him into leaving and repatriated him.

Black, white and herringbone

His revenge for his framing came almost too late. In 2003 his conviction for the explosives-shipping was overturned because, wrote the judge, the government had lied. Far from no contacts with the CIA between 1971 and 1978, there had been at least 80. Several ran intriguingly "parallel" to the illegal acts he had been charged with. The next year he was released, white-haired at 76, fighting fit and pumped up with his own righteousness, to spend the rest of his days trying to clear his name.

He knew that would be a tough sell. For many he would always be a traitor and a terrorist as well as an amoral profiteer. Black couldn't be made white, and he had to be one or the other, even though reality, as he wrote, "is actually really herringbone". Those sounded like the words of a man who felt sorry for himself. No, he said; there was no profit in that. Just for a moment then, you might have taken him for an ordinary businessman.

Gee Pred, you will go way off topic just to diss others, won't you.  Your reply had nothing to do with what I posted.  read it again.  the key word is "they" referring to our greatly OVERPAID congressmen. Apparently you believe our congressmen should retire on full pay for their pensions. What I was saying was, if they had to live like the rest of us, things would be different on capital hill.
