Location: Attleboro, MA.

Duration: 6 months + ext

Job Description

• 12+ years MS Windows (2003, 2008 and 2012) Server Administration experience in a large enterprise environment managing Wintel Track as a Technical Team Lead.
  
• - Onsite experience of working directly with client is must.
  
• - Well versed with Server build, Hardening and Migration process.
  
• - Responsible for installing and maintaining the server systems for all production systems.
  
• - Installs, test, upgrade, and configure system files and services to enhance performance.
  
• - Provide support for core server functionality as well as DNS, DHCP, DFS, WINS.
  
• - perform server implementation including design, procurement, building, installing and supporting new or rebuilding existing servers.
  
• - Proficiency in Virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V) - Administration and Troubleshooting
  
• - configure hardware (physical and virtual), clusters, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project / operational requirements.
  
• - Responsible for building and administering virtual servers and workstations in a Hyper-V environment, cluster shared volumes
  

 

Proficency in Microsoft SCVMM 2008/2012

Hands on Servers ( HP/DELL/HP/IBM)Work independently and as a member of a team of consultants on engagements with customers, often in a technical leadership role.

 

Hands On Experience in DELL Enclosures

- Solid understanding of vendor hardware architecture, high availability design, fabric topologies, storage and networking protocols and RAID levels.

- Server and storage array based I/O performance analysis and troubleshooting skills

 

Experience in Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 and XenApps 6.0, 6.5

Experience with Active Directory and related technologies including DHCP, DNS, WINS, DFS, Microsoft System Center Suite, etc.

Experience with Backup/Storage technologies in Commvault, E-Vault, Symantec Backupexec, Netbackup and TSM backup is must.

Experience in Fiber storage and fiber switch configuration.
Experience with Vendor Management at the Operational Level 
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills 
Performance and/or network trace analysis for Servers 
Strong oral and written communication skills

Rollout new systems and technologies in line with global standards.

Knowledge of and adherence to ITIL and PMI best practices.

Project level planning and implementation experience.

Problem determination and resolution within SLA's

Should be able to Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents

Handle L3/L4 technical escalations

Ability to acquire new skills & keep them updated

Work with Local & Global Teams

Independently generates solutions based on analytical, technical skills and business knowledge

Mentor and train other team members

Added advantage - Experience with SAN Storage (ie. Dell Equallogic, Compellent, PowerVault, Hitachi & NetApps )
