Sr. Performance Testing Engineer/Technical Consultant

Location:  San Diego, CA

Duration: 6 months contract

 

The position requires deep skills in the following areas:

·         End-to-end application performance testing methodology, process and techniques

·         MUST be Expert use of HP LoadRunner, HP Performance Center, HP SiteScope, HP Diagnostics suite of tools and other related tools

·         Excellent communication, organizational, customer facing and consulting skills

·         Strong analytical, problem solving

 

Provide end-to-end performance testing services in large customer engagements.

·         Analyze business and functional requirements to ensure requirements are clear and testable

·         Create performance test plans, scripts, and executes performance test scenarios for various types of tests: load, stress, volume, scalability.

·         Provide input and assist in estimate effort to develop test plans, prepare test environment, test scenarios, data and test scripts Follow proven best practices and methodology to develop and maintain scalable, reusable performance test scripts using HP LoadRunner or comparable tool Simulate thousands of concurrent users for load scenarios to determine response times and bottlenecks Monitor and collect resource metrics during load tests to determine impact of load/stress testing

·         Identify defects and participate in root cause analysis in performance tuning with appropriate teams in the SDLC to optimize performance

·         Prepare appropriate reporting and status documents for business and technical stakeholders

·         Solid experience performance testing with advance protocols including Oracle/PeopleSoft

·         Lead testing team in support of the above services

·         Mentor and guide test team
