Role: SAN Administrator 

Location: Bloomington, IL

Duration: 12 Months

Rate $40-45/hr C2C

Role Description: The SAN Administrator would need to have at least 3 to 5 years of experience. Enterprise Storage is a third-level team that is responsible for establishing direction and defect-level problem management for Clients Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Backup/Recovery and File Services.

Responsibilities:
- The components primary responsibilities include implementing an open systems Storage/ Hardware environment based on projections provided, developing storage solutions based off the needs of the business, and providing subject matter expertise for problem resolution. 
- Primarily focus on tasks associated with setting and establishing Enterprise Storage strategy. 
- Need to possess an in depth knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS) infrastructure, supporting/maintaining our Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure, and the associated fiber/fabric infrastructure needed to support these technologies. 
- Need to possess or have the willingness to learn, an in-depth technical understanding of storage area networking protocols, software, and fabric management, fabric login, fabric zoning, and management software that will be used to modify, architect, design, document, evaluate, and troubleshooting the Client storage infrastructure. 

Other Skills:
- Understanding of ITIL and Service Management principles. 
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop strategy documents, white papers, and to make presentations as required. 
- Ability to thrive in a highly technical, rapidly changing environment is required. 
- Ability to work with vendors and maintain confidentiality is required. 
- Understanding complex technical subjects and products. 
- Experience with a problem reporting and tracking (HP Service Manager) would be helpful. 
- Ability to work on multiple projects at one time. 
- Strong commitment to high quality work. 
- Willingness to work beyond the normal work day if needed. WK8, Linux, UNIX, Perl scripting is a plus.

ITIL Practitioner: Service Level Management, ITIL: IT Infrastructure Library, Linux Operating Systems, NAS, NAS Product Knowledge, Perl Script Programming, SAN, SAN Product Knowledge, and UNIX Operating System.
