Position: Java Developer with Guidewire Exp

Location: Chevy Chase, MD

Duration: 6+ Months.

 

Position Comments:

A mid-level Java Developer with Guidewire experience is required

 

Job Description:

Specializes in Guidewire - Has experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs.  Responsibilities include Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications.  These individuals will work from   program specifications or prototypes     * Works under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst.  (3-5 years).

 

Additional Skills:

-   At least 5 years of experience in large scale Java or .Net system development

-   Experience with Guidewire configuration or integration components is desirable

-   Design, write, unit test, and document application code to successfully complete project-based work

-   Strong testing and debugging skills a must

-   Familiar with UML and other OO tools and a working knowledge of the tools

-   Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills

-   Excellent detail-orientation and organizational skills

-   Ability to prioritize assignments

-   Degree in a related field
