Senior Java Software Developer/Architect

The Senior Java Software Developer/Architect will be responsible for the following:
Acts as high level technical expert for software product development and or purchase, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
-Develop and Architect subrogation applications (and future projects) and assist with application arch/dev support issues.
Evaluate and learn new technologies that will provide business value.
Ensure quality, accuracy, architectural design of the release code.
Management of coding, usability, and quality standards.
-Coordinate with the project team through the entire SDLC
-Gathers information about program needs, objectives, functions, features and input/output requirements to design application systems.
-Analyzes and estimates feasibility, costs, time and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
-Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.
-Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
-Establishes auditing procedures to ensure continues integrity.
-Improve product performance, reliability, scalability and security.
-Serves as SME/ team member in the integration of solutions, constructing application, developing new business

Operates within established methodologies, procedures, and guidelines. Applies knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Strong Java experience 4+ years required.
Requires 2 years or more of JSP, Servlets, Struts 1.x , Spring experience.
Preferred 1 year or more of Websphere experience.
Preferred- 1 year or more of Web Services experience.
Preferred 1 year or more of Unix Scripting experience.
Automated Build Process preferred
Experience with test driven development is a plus
Experience with JUnit skills is preferred
Experience with Linux is a plus
Experience with working with off-shore is preferred
Ability to translate requirements to technical design is preferred
