Location: West Valley, UT (Preferably Local)

Type: Contract

 

USC/GC

Rate: $50/hr c2c

 

Position title: Operations Support with Oracle DBA and Unix Admin focus

 

This position will be part of a development and operations team developing and supporting internal claims processing applications utilizing Oracle databases and AIX, Linux, and Windows servers.

 

Responsibilities include:

- monitor and maintain production applications in a 24x7 environment

- provide Oracle, Unix, and Windows support and administration

- act as a liaison between the application development and operations team and low-level infrastructure support services

- assist in application and database design, optimization, and troubleshooting

- provide application support to internal end users

 

Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years' experience working with Oracle databases, including database administration

- proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL

- 5+ years' experience working in a Unix environment, including system administration

- 2+ years' experience in an operations support environment

- must be willing to provide 24x7 operational support in a rotating on-call model

- may require occasional work at non-standard work hours, including nights and weekends

 

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years working with development teams as a database administrator

- AIX or Linux experience, with experience writing shell scripts

- Windows server administration experience

- experience with agile development methodologies

- prior healthcare IT industry experience

- experience with data warehousing
